The Chinese introduced the world's thinnest smartphone

The little-known company Gionee from the Middle Kingdom has officially announced its new Android smartphone, which claims to be the thinnest in the world. The novelty is called Elife S5.5.

Elife S5.5 is dressed in a stylish case with a thickness of 5.5 mm, which allowed it to "outperform" another Chinese device - BBK Vivo X3. It was the latter that until now belonged to the status of the world's thinnest smartphone.

The novelty is equipped with a 5-inch screen and is based on a quad-core mobile processor with 2 GB of RAM. The phone also received two cameras: a 5-megapixel front and a 13-megapixel rear. The company even fit a 2300 mAh battery into an ultra-thin case. Its charge is said to last a full day of intensive use.

The smartphone is already available in Chinese online stores. Its cost is about 370 US dollars.

It should be noted that Gionee already has experience in designing and manufacturing smartphones. She is a long-time partner and contract builder of Fly and Explay smartphones.
