Samsung unveils world's first curved display smartphone

Samsung pioneered flexible display smartphones. Today it officially announced the new Samsung Galaxy Round smartphone.

The main feature of the new smartphone is the presence of a 5, 7-inch curved display, which is similar in technical characteristics to the third-generation Samsung Galaxy Note tablet. The display is made using Super AMOLED technology and supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The flexible display allowed for several interesting features, including visual effects and easy music control.

The Samsung Galaxy Round is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, the built-in memory is 32 GB (plus a slot for microSD memory cards). It also has 13MP main and 2MP front cameras and support for Wi-Fi a / b / g / n / ac, BT 4.0 (BLE), USB 3.0, GPS + GLONASS and LTE-A.

Externally, the Samsung Galaxy Round is very similar to the third generation Samsung Galaxy Note. It is clad in a case measuring 151, 1 x 79, 6 x 7, 9 mm and weighing 154 g, and its back panel, like the Galaxy Note III, is covered with leather. The built-in rechargeable battery has a capacity of 2800 mAh.
