At their disposal was a supercomputer, one of the hundred most powerful computers in the world - "Lobachevsky", with the help of which tens of millions of parameters of the human body were processed.
According to Viktor Gergel, who heads the Institute of Information Technologies at the university, scientists have created a virtual model of an organism in great detail. Suffice it to say that the virtual heart alone contains over 50 million different parameters.
The work of Nizhny Novgorod scientists is of unique importance, since it became possible to create a computer model of almost any person and, without harming him, simulate various treatment options. It is quite natural that this is possible only with the help of supercomputers like Lobachevsky, whose performance reaches 600 teraflops.
To understand the magnitude of this characteristic, let us recall that 1 teraflop corresponds to a trillion operations per second.
