We've already seen a hedgehog, white-tailed deer and octopus in our room thanks to Google's 3D augmented reality tool. Fans of The Mandalorian, rejoice - now you can put Baby Yoda on your windowsill in the same way.
Google has added a new 3D object to its growing collection of augmented reality creatures that can be found in the Search app. This time, when you enter the request "Baby Yoda" or "Grogu" (the official name of Baby Yoda, voiced in the second season of the series) on a mobile device, you can open a 3D model of the character.
As with the rest of Google's AR creatures, Grogu will appear alongside after calibrating the phone's camera. The kid can do nothing but shake his head and look infinitely cute. The easier it will be for you to photograph your meeting with him.
Since launching this feature in 2019, Google has added all new 3D objects to Search - a few days ago, we wrote about 50 new AR animals. The company teamed up with Lucasfilm back in November to launch the Mandalorian AR app for Android 5G phones. Thanks to him, users will be able to see scenes from the first season of the series with the effect of presence - the technology will play them right in your room.
