Construction of a unique skyscraper with a ceramic facade begins in Dubai

United Network Studio, together with Werner Sobek Group, have begun the construction of an unusual skyscraper in Dubai - Wasl Tower. This is a mixed type building (five-star hotel, offices, living quarters) that will stand out from other skyscrapers with its unusual shape with a ceramic façade and integrated solar lighting systems.

Wasl Tower is being built near the famous Burj Khalifa record tower (828 m). The height of the new building is "only" 302 meters. At the same time, it has a very elegant design: it is based on a counterpost - a position when one part is, as it were, opposed to the other due to smooth twisting, emphasizing the aspiration upward. The curved vertical "seam" dividing the Wasl Tower will feature tiers of balconies and rooftop pools.

The facade of the building is covered with movable ceramic tiles that regulate the amount of sunlight entering.

The entire height of the Wasl Tower is glazed. The total area of the premises will be 106, 534 sq. The company Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (Hong Kong) will open a luxury hotel with 250 rooms here. The life of the skyscraper city will be provided by 17 high-speed elevators. The building is expected to be completed by 2020.
