Russian scientists have created biopolymer plasters, under which wounds heal faster

Soon, new high-tech materials with unique healing properties will replace traditional dressings. We are talking about biopolymer patches created in Krasnoyarsk by scientists from the Institute of Biophysics.

Already the first experiments have shown their effectiveness: wounds under them heal three times faster than conventional bandages.

An important advantage of the new plasters is biocompatibility with human tissues, as a result of which there is no need to fear their rejection. The patch does not even have to be removed, because over time it dissolves without a trace in the wound.

When creating a unique dressing, scientists used special biopolymers grown in laboratory conditions, as well as cells of animal connective tissues. Clinical trials are scheduled for next year, after which their industrial production will begin.
