Speaking to the visitors of CES 2016, Intel spokesman Brian Krzhanich announced his intention in the near future to completely replace loud, smoky and unsafe fireworks with special drones equipped with a light illumination system.
In confirmation of its intentions, Intel put on a stunning 3D light and music show with 100 drones, which in itself became a world record, entered in the Guinness Book of Records. The drones rearranged themselves in the sky and changed color combinations, accompanied by a symphony orchestra performing Beethoven's 5th Symphony.
The show ended with the drones flashing the Intel logo in the evening sky. Horst Hortner, senior director of drone maker Ars FutureLab, commented on the incident:
“As soon as you say the word 'drone', many people associate with some kind of danger, but this is not so. In fact, it can be beautiful. "
