Scientists have developed a device to create a three-dimensional image of the heart

The unique device was developed by scientists from Georgia. With its help, it is possible to obtain a three-dimensional image of the vessels of the heart in real time. This will help cardiac surgeons during the operation, and will also make it possible to eliminate blood clots without surgery.

The device itself is a silicon chip about 1.5 mm in size with sensors and electronic processors placed on it. More than 100 elements are involved in data processing, connected by 13 tiny wires.

The dimensions of this device allow it to be inserted into blood vessels, where it “travels” without hindrance, providing cardiologists with valuable information.
