H. Moser & Cie has developed a watch with Vantablack - the blackest material on Earth

The well-known manufacturer of luxury watches, the Swiss company H. Moser & Cie, has presented the concept watch Endeavor Vantablack with a tourbillon - a special device that allows to neutralize the effect of earth's gravity to improve their accuracy.

In this watch, literally everything is unique - starting with the dial, which is made of the darkest material on Earth, Vantablack, consisting of a dense array of vertical carbon nanotubes 3500 times thinner than a human hair. When hitting such a surface, 99.965% of the light of photons is absorbed, for which it is sometimes compared to a black hole.

Vantablack is used in telescopes, thermal camouflage, stealth equipment, civil engineering, and solar panels.

The elements of the watch case are made of aluminum used in the aerospace industry. It is stronger than conventional aluminum and lighter than brass.

As a result, the developers managed to significantly reduce the inertia of the watch, increase the work efficiency, and provide them with an improved energy balance.

The Endeavor Vantablack watch will be released in a limited edition of 50 pieces at a price of $ 75, 000 each.
