The CoffeeJack is a new eco-friendly and compact coffee maker that dispenses with electricity, capsules or filters, using micro-hydraulics with pressures exceeding 9 bar.
The development team shared that they wanted to create an espresso machine that is light and easy to use, yet capable of delivering coffee quality at the level of prestigious establishments. The second goal is to avoid disposable cups that damage the environment. Why espresso? The point is that it is the basic unit in coffee making. It can be made into any coffee beverage and has the richest flavor. At the same time, brewing espresso is the most difficult and expensive process due to the high pressure required to extract aromatic substances from the coffee beans.
With the CoffeeJack, you can brew coffee anywhere from the kitchen table to the mountain top. The automatic system tempers the ground coffee for better extraction. In fact, it is the smallest espresso machine on the market (only 11 cm high). To create the final version, the developers had to create and test 392 prototypes. The project was presented to the Indiegogo community, where it raised over $ 1 million.
To brew coffee in CoffeeJack, you need to follow three simple steps:
- Pour your favorite ground coffee into the hopper;
- Fill with hot water;
- Press the pump about 8 times for the perfect espresso.
All parts of the coffee maker have been thoroughly tested for environmental friendliness and durability. It uses aluminum, durable borosilicate glass and recycled plastic. CoffeeJack is already available for early order starting at $ 91. Worldwide shipping is due to begin in May 2020.
