The young company Lingmo International has presented a new device that provides simultaneous translation literally "right into the ear" - the One2One earpieces. In many ways, the device resembles the "Babylonian fish" from the fantastic work "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
One2One currently speaks eight languages - English, Japanese, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Chinese. Lingmo International specialists have solved many problems with the nuances of translation, in particular, taking into account slang and dialects.
One of the main features of One2One is that there is no need to connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to a smartphone. The gadget functions as a separate device.
The translation takes 3 to 5 seconds. To translate the desired phrase, One2One communicates via 3G-Internet to the backbone server, represented by the IBM Watson supercomputer.
The cost of the device is $ 179. The delivery of the first copies will begin next month.
