GoPro lineup expands with Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session cameras

Following the highly anticipated Karma drone, the GoPro brand has unveiled “the most powerful and easy-to-use action camera”, the Hero 5 Black, as well as its budget version, the Hero 5 Session. The cost of the first is $ 300, the second is $ 100 cheaper. Both will go on sale on October 2, 2016.

The new cameras work excellently underwater at depths of up to 10 m - without a special case, in the "out of the box" version. They shoot videos in 4K (30 fps) and have electronic image stabilization. If the owner has subscribed to the GoPro Plus service, the cameras will automatically upload the contents of their memory cards to the cloud storage during recharging.

For ease of use in difficult situations, both Hero 5s are operated with just one button - start / stop recording. And if your hands are busy, you can give commands by voice, in 7 different languages. The Hero 5 Black features a GPS module, manual exposure control, and a stereo audio recording option with "wind noise cancellation."

While the younger model, the Session, is designed for quick and easy shooting, the flagship Black is also equipped with a 2-inch touchscreen for quick editing of the footage. This quality, along with support for RAW and WRD formats, makes it the leader in the GoPro range of cameras.
